It is estimated that tourism generates over £410 million of expenditure in North Devon and Torridge every year supporting over 11,500 jobs. This expenditure has far reaching effects throughout the economy.

In addition to direct expenditure there are a wide range of suppliers to these tourism businesses that also benefit, such as professional services, DIY stores, construction, transport etc. Many local leisure, heritage and community facilities would not exist without the expenditure and usage generated by visitors to the area.
